Make a plate of waffle fingers, add three little bowls of spread and let everyone choose a favourite. It is an easy way to turn your usual waffles into a shared afternoon treat.
What you need
- 1 pack Munchies House Waffle Mix 454g
- 454g water, weighed on a kitchen scale
- A little oil for the waffle plates
- 3 tablespoons milk chocolate spread
- 3 tablespoons white chocolate spread
- 3 tablespoons pistachio spread
- A teaspoon of chopped pistachios, optional, for the pistachio dip
How to make them
- Mix the waffle powder and weighed water until evenly combined. Rest for 15 minutes.
- Preheat your waffle maker and lightly grease it as directed by its manufacturer.
- Add enough batter for your machine, leaving room for it to spread. Close and cook until the waffle is golden, set and releases easily. Use your machine’s guidance for timing.
- Place the cooked waffles in a single layer on a wire rack while you finish the batch.
- Once comfortable to handle, cut along the waffle grid into fingers. Spoon the three spreads into separate bowls and serve alongside the warm waffle sticks.
Keep the edges crisp
A rack lets steam escape. Avoid stacking hot waffles or covering them before serving. Keep the dips separate until it is time to eat.
