Chocolate Cake Preparation Instructions

500g: You need 3 eggs, 240 ml water (1 cup) and 120 ml vegetable oil (1/2 cup). Pan: 23 x 33 x 6 cm, or 30 x 30 x 6 cm, or two 20 x 20 x 6 cm pans. Makes 12 slices (68g each).

  1. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, water, oil and eggs. Beat on low speed for 1 minute, then on medium speed for 5 more minutes.
  2. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Line the pan with baking paper, or grease all sides generously and lightly flour or use nonstick spray. Pour in the batter.
  3. Bake for 25–35 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  4. Let cool for 5 minutes in the pan before removing.
